I’m the type that gets lost very easily. I try not to but inevitably I end up taking the wrong turn or missing an exit and end up having to ask for directions from somebody. I thought about buying a GPS but I didn’t want yet another device to manage. And when I got my iPhone I decided I’d hold out and wait for one to come out for it.

Well I’m please to announce that I finally got a GPS for my iPhone.

Cost & File Size
The Navigon MobileNavigator app weighs in at a chunky 1.44GB and costs $89.99 in the app store.

Don’t let the size of it freak out you too much though as it’s space that’s well worth using up on your iPhone. Unlike some other GPS apps, Navigon stores its maps locally on your iPhone. So it doesn’t need to connect to the network to pull up a map as you’re driving. This is great for those times when you might have problems getting a good network signal.

I have the 16GB iPhone 3G and using up the 1.44GB for Navigon hasn’t caused me any significant problems when it comes to storage space.
