Vanguard is known for its low cost mutual funds and it’s quite popular among many investors. Now you can check your Vanguard accounts right from the comfort of your iPhone.

The Vanguard app is free and weighs in at a tiny .7MB.

The interface is very well done and it’s quite easy to find your way around.

My Portfolio lets you get a bird’s eye view of your holdings or a more detailed view. The Performance screen shows you your Balance Trend and Investment Returns. My Prices shows you the price of your various holdings and the History screen shows you your recent transactions.

The News tab has four tabs: Vanguard, Podcasts, Videos and Market. Each tab gives you additional investing information via audio, video or text. I tested the video and it worked great. Crystal clear with great sound.
