I’ve been thirsting for a good shoot em’ up for my iPhone for a while. And what better franchise to offer a game in that genre than the Terminator? We all remember Arnold Schwarzenegger’s fun Terminator movies. The setting for those flicks is perfect for an iPhone shoot-em-up game.

I have to admit though that I was very skeptical about playing one on my iPhone. I wondered how the controls would work. Well I was pleasantly surprised (more on that later).

Terminator Salvation Lite puts you in the role of John Connor, leader of the resistance. You’ll need to battle the forces of Skynet to save the world from tyranny or…er…whatever. The story really doesn’t matter as this genre of game is all about kicking ass and destroying your enemies.

Graphics & Gameplay
I found the graphics to be terrific. The game played smoothly even on my iPhone 3G. It’s probably even better on the iPhone 3GS. The environments were very Terminator-esque and I didn’t see any slowdown or other graphics problems. The gameplay seemed to be of the usual shoot-em-up variety. Aim your weapon and blow your enemies away.
