Pandora Radio
Have you ever been driving in your car, listening to the radio and wishing desperately that you could find something decent to listen to? There’s so much pure garbage and trash being played on radio sometimes that I just despair of ever hearing anything that I actually like. And why is that? Well the bottom line is that radio stations have a “one-size fits all” programming that doesn’t allow for individuals to get the music they want when they want it.
Pandora Radio for the iPhone provides a totally different experience. Instead of being stuck with some program director’s bad musical taste, Pandora provides a stream of what amounts to customized music based on the preferences you express by giving a song a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
To get started with Pandora just install it on your iPhone, start it up and then click on the New Station button. From there type in the name of an artist that you like and Pandora will start playing songs. You can vote thumbs up or thumbs down on each song. Very quickly you will find that Pandora has an uncanny ability to find songs that you like. I was flabbergasted initially at how good it was at finding stuff I really liked. I’ve been so used to the trash on the radio that it was a genuine pleasure to experience what Pandora had to offer.
Cost & File Size
Pandora is free. It won’t cost you a dime to download it and install it onto your iPhone. The file size is only .5 MB so it’s not exactly a chunky app that’s going to take up a lot of space on your iPhone.
