MyCntdwn
Keeping track of impending events can be very tricky sometimes, particularly if they’re off in the future a bit. Things like weddings, divorce proceedings, anniversaries, trips and other things can sometimes sneak up on us even if we put them in a regular calendar application. MyCntdwn is a simple app that helps you keep track of your important dates by displaying a countdown to the event.
MyCntdwn has a very simple interface broken into three buttons at the bottom of the app:
MyCntdwn
Edit Events
Info
The MyCntdwn screen lets you see each countdown you have set up. It displays one event per page. You navigate between events by swiping or by clicking on the small navigation dots at the bottom of the page.

Use MyCntdwn to countdown to important events in your life.
Edit Events let you add new events or edit existing events. You’ll see a list of existing events and you just need to click the Edit button at the top to edit them or add a new one. You can add up to ten events. The information screen explains the purpose of the app and credits the author Ryan Grier.
The Verdict About MyCntdwn
MyCntdwn is a simple, practical app. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and it does it well. However, I’d like to see a way a for people to be able to share event countdowns. Perhaps a way for email to be sent out or for countdown updates to be sent to social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc.
I’d also like to see the Add New Event button removed from the Edit Events page. There should be a button at the bottom of the app’s interface to add a new event. It’s odd that it’s on the page you use to edit events. Then again I may be nitpicking here as I’m sure others probably don’t care either way.
I’d also like to see it hold up to 20 or more events. I’m not sure why it stops at 10 events. Perhaps there could be more than one event listed per page? Regardless it just seems like it should hold more than 10. Then again I’m not sure how many events your average joe or jane would actually want to track over time.
MyCntdwn is a useful app if you need to countdown to your next big event.
