The Verdict About Mean Photo and Nice Photo
The premise of both programs is good. Let’s face it, times are tough right now so we can all use a few laughs. Mucking around with putting goofy labels in photos certainly brings a bit of levity into life.

One thing that I was disappointed about though was the surprising inability to use existing photos in my photo library. That seems odd to me. Many people (myself included) probably have a lot of older photos on their iPhones that they might like to use and that isn’t possible with Mean Photo or Nice Photo. You have to use the iPhone’s camera and take a new picture instead of being able to use an old one in your photo library. I hope the developers fix this in a future release.

On the whole both apps are cute and will give you and your friends a few chuckles and maybe even some good laughs. The apps are priced right at $0.99. If I had to pick one over the other I’d go with Mean Photo as I found it more amusing.

Note that in my scoring below I scored Mean Photo a little bit higher than Nice Photo. Why? Well let’s face it, being evil is always more fun than being good. So the fun factor of Mean Photo is just a tad bit higher than Nice Photo. I suspect that Mean Photo will probably outsell Nice Photo as evil usually triumphs over good in the end.

The Verdict: Nice Photo is a cute way of expressing your love for somebody.
