Fake-A-Call

Who among us hasn’t had to sit through a horrendously boring meeting or deal with an annoying clinger that won’t leave us alone? Well Fake-A-Call is a fiendishly clever and diabolical way of getting yourself out of tedious or annoying situations by making it look like you’re getting a phone call.
To use Fake-A-Call just start it up on your iPhone 3G. When the app loads you’ll see a Settings button along with a Get Ready to Fake It button. You’ll also have the option to turn Vibration on or off, set a timer and choose the time you want to get your fake call.
If you click the Settings button you can really customize your fake calls. You can change the name of your fake caller as well as the subheading that appears under the fake caller’s name. And you can change the ring tone of your fake call and the background that appears on your iPhone when you get the call.
After you finish customizing your fake call click the Accept button. Then set your timer and then click the Get Ready to Fake It! button. You will see a black screen load up and your iPhone 3G is now ready to make the fake call to you.
Your call will happen at the time you set it for and you can then pretend that you’re talking to somebody and hopefully rid yourself of whoever it is that’s bothering you or, in some cases, use the call as an excuse to extricate yourself from a tricky or uncomfortable social situation.
Note that when you accept the call you will be taken to the fake iPhone call screen that looks just like the real screen you see when you get a real call. You can stay on this screen as long as you like to pretend you’re having a real call. When you hang up the black screen will load up again.
If you choose not to use the timer then you will have to discretely tap the screen of your iPhone 3G twice after clicking the Get Ready to Fake It! button. Your call should come a few seconds later. If you decline the call you will be taken back to the black screen where you will be ready to make another fake call if you need to.
